Alpineward: Ski Resort Simulator

Build your ski resort. Master the mountain.

Design the runs, make the snow, beat the weather and grow your resort from scratch.

What changes everything

Snow isn't scenery.
It's simulated.

Every metre of your mountain has its own snowpack, simulated layer by layer. It falls, melts in the sun, gets blown by the wind and hardens. And your skiers feel it in every turn.

Powder Fresh snow after a storm. Skiers hunt for it; your groomers haven't touched it yet.

Mechanics

A real resort, piece by piece

Everything that keeps a real resort running, simulated with the detail of someone who has lived it from the inside.

Snow guns running at night along a run

01 / 07 · Snowmaking

Make the winter.

Reservoir, pumping, compressors, trenches and hydrants, fan guns and lances. Pressure and flow are simulated, and the snow leaves the gun as a plume and lands wherever the wind takes it.

A full network with pressure and flow

Snow groomer working at night with its lights on

02 / 07 · Groomers

The night belongs to the machines.

Your fleet leaves the garage with its lights on: it covers bare patches, spreads the snow-gun piles and evens out the depth. You give the orders from the control room.

An autonomous fleet of up to 100 machines

The resort at dusk, with its runs and lifts below the peaks

03 / 07 · Lifts

Cable, towers and wind.

T-bars, fixed-grip and detachable chairlifts, gondolas and chondolas. Chairs swing, towers follow the cable and the wind can stop everything with people still on board.

5 lift types, true to the engineering

Heavy snow falling over the resort

04 / 07 · Weather

The sky decides. You react.

Three-day storms, high pressure, valley fog and blizzards. With a 7-day forecast and the wet-bulb temperature you know when you can make snow.

Drawing a new run with its slope and cost

05 / 07 · Runs and terrain

Draw your mountain.

Generated mountains from any range, up to 4×4 km. Lay out runs, sculpt the terrain and clear the forest, which costs money.

Overview of the resort with its runs and lifts

06 / 07 · Skiers

Thousands of skiers. No two alike.

They pick runs by the snow, queue, eat, get cold, fall and get back up. If the day was worth it, they come back.

Game panels: run sheet, snow view, economy and management

07 / 07 · Village and economy

A business that lives on snow.

Lift passes, rentals, restaurants, hotels and car parks. Every kWh your snow guns burn and every wage comes out of your till.

Strategy

Decisions you feel on the slopes

There's no right answer. There's a mountain, a weather forecast and your bank balance.

  • Dilemma 1

    Make snow tonight?

The wet-bulb temperature is right on the limit. You spend water and power, but tomorrow you'll have a base.

  • Dilemma 2

    A windy storm is coming.

Do you open the top chairlift and risk stopping it with people on board, or close it and lose lift passes?

  • Dilemma 3

Which runs does the fleet groom?

There isn't time for all of them: the beginner runs by the village or the red run that makes your name.

  • Dilemma 4

    Rain in March.

The snow turns to spring snow and then to ice. Do you open later so it softens?

  • Dilemma 5

    North or south?

A north-facing run keeps its snow; a south-facing one melts sooner. Decide where to build.

  • Dilemma 6

    Queues at the main lift.

Expand it, build another lift or raise the price of the lift pass.

FAQ

What you ask us

Is it a real resort?

No. The mountains are generated realistically and the look is inspired by real resorts in the Pyrenees, but you can build your resort on any mountain.

When is it coming out?

We're preparing a closed beta. Sign up with your email and we'll let you know.

Where will I be able to buy it?

On Steam and directly on this website.

How much will it cost?

We'll announce the price together with the Steam page. Beta sign-ups will be the first to know.

Will there be summer content?

Yes. After launch, a summer expansion will add a bike park and mountain activities.

Is it accessible?

It can be played entirely with the keyboard and works with a screen reader.

Is there generative AI in the game?

No. The groomers and skiers use classic game AI, and the music and sounds are our own or in the public domain.

What do I need to play?

A PC with 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and a Vulkan-capable GPU. We'll publish the exact requirements before the beta.

Who makes it?

Findall Group SL, an independent company.

Which languages is it in?

15 languages: English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian, German (also Austrian), Dutch, Polish, Czech, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
